Yes, it's nice to hear DS Anwar Ibrahim is back on the sadddle, (after 6 years "merengkuk dalam penjara") assuming top positions at institutions around the world. I just read he might be running for UN Sec. General. Great! It's a long shot but I hope he gets it.

did you meet anyone while you were in Christchurch?
It's end of June / late Sept 2004, I hooked with Abg Saleh, via email, before I left SF. At Chch, he took us to En Ishak's house. That day they were in the midst of arranging someone's burial - ada majlis tahlil, also there's Msian night the following week so the band was practising! I'm not sure if we met you.
I guess Abg Saleh and family have left Chch - I've lost contact with them.
my God, i thought you were going to chip in with some decisive insght at the end there, not leave it with ‘we leave it to you to decide’.
